1. Sealing
To control the atmosphere and maintain the pressure within the furnace, the working space must be isolated from the outside air at all times to minimize air leakage and inhalation. Therefore, the furnace shell, masonry, furnace door, and all externally connected components, such as fans, thermocouples, radiant tubes, and feeders, must be sealed.

 

2. Automation
Various atmosphere furnaces require high sealing performance. Loading and unloading operations are complex, requiring a single furnace to serve multiple purposes. For large-scale production, large-scale combined heat treatment units or dual-purpose units are often used. Therefore, a high degree of mechanization and automation is required.

 

3. Explosion-Proof Devices
The mixing of reducing gas and air at a certain ratio and temperature can easily cause an explosion. Therefore, explosion-proof devices are installed in the front and rear chambers, quenching chamber, and slow cooling chamber of the furnace. The furnace's gas supply and exhaust control systems must also incorporate explosion-proof measures.

 

 

Application Scope

As the basic atmosphere for controllable atmosphere carburizing and the protective atmosphere for annealing, it has the characteristics of low operating cost and high degree of automation;compared with nitrogen- methanol atmosphere or methanol atmosphere,it can greatly improve the carburizing quality and effectively protect the decarburization of materials.It solves many atmosphere-related problems in the heat treatment process.
