How Does a Vertical Vacuum Annealing Furnace Work?

 

1.Crane lowers the load into the furnace

2.Seal the chamber, feed methanol decomposition gas + nitrogen to push out oxygen

3.Electric heat, fan blows the hot gas evenly

4.Force-cool, lift the lid, crane pulls the load out

1.What materials can it anneal?

Carbon steel, alloy steel, bearing steel, stainless wire rod, and bolt blanks. Mostly spheroidizing and softening anneal.

2.Is well-type the same as pit-type?

Same machine. Well-type means a round chamber loaded from the top; pit-type means it sits below floor level.

3.Why methanol decomposition gas?

It breaks down into CO/H₂/N₂, pushes out oxygen and controls decarb - good for fasteners and bearing steel.
