Vertical Vacuum Annealing Furnace For Wire Drawing Dies
Details
Vertical Vacuum Annealing Furnace for Wire Drawing Dies — Zero Decarburization, ±5°C Uniformity, Built for Heavy Coils Stop losing dies to scale and decarburization. Our bottom-loading vertical vacuum annealing furnace delivers bright, oxide-free surfaces and ±5°C uniformity on loads up to 24T — so your wire drawing dies, automotive and aerospace fasteners, and high-strength wire rods anneal faster, draw cleaner, and last longer. Spheroidize and soften with confidence, cycle after cycle.
• No scale, no decarburization — vacuum + N₂ atmosphere keeps every die and coil bright
• ±5°C uniformity— consistent metallurgy across the whole 24T load, every cycle
• 8T–24T bottom-loading— safe handling of your largest coils, in less floor space

Annealing Furnace Main Applications

For Wire Drawing Dies Used for spheroidizing annealing of die steels and high-carbon wire before drawing, eliminating surface oxidation and decarburization to extend die life and improve draw quality.

For Automotive Fasteners Softening and spheroidizing annealing of fastener wire rods and bolts, ensuring consistent microstructure for cold heading and threading.

For Aerospace Fasteners High-uniformity vacuum annealing of specialty alloy fasteners where strict metallurgical consistency and clean surfaces are required.

For Power Accessories Annealing of electrical hardware and fittings that demand bright, decarburization-free surfaces.

For High-Strength Fastener Wire Rods (Coils) Large-coil wire rod annealing with strong convection cooling for short cycle time and uniform hardness.

Technical Features

No Oxidation, No Decarburization

After annealing, the material surface is free of scale with minimal decarburization, delivering high spheroidization rate and stable quality - ideal for wire drawing dies and precision fasteners.

High-Efficiency Ceramic Fiber Insulation

The furnace cover uses ceramic fiber blanket for superior thermal insulation, lightweight structure, and robust durability.

Uniform Heating with Convection Fan

A convection-dominant heating mode keeps inner and outer workpieces at even temperature, reducing distortion across the load.

Strong Convection Cooling

High-volume, high-intensity circulating cooling speeds up the cycle, saving both time and energy.

Vacuum Pre-Evacuation & N₂ Replacement

The chamber is pre-evacuated, then back-filled and held at high-pressure nitrogen to guarantee an oxygen-free, decarburization-free atmosphere.

Long Service Life, Easy Maintenance

Rational furnace structure extends service life and simplifies routine maintenance.

How It Works?

How Does a Vertical Vacuum Annealing Furnace Work?

Loading - Wire rod coils or dies are placed on the hearth of the bottom-loading furnace.

Vacuum & N₂ Replacement - The chamber is pumped down, then back-filled with high-pressure nitrogen to remove oxygen.

Resistance Heating - Electric heating elements raise temperature with convection-fan circulation for even heat.

Cooling & Unloading - Strong forced convection cools the load rapidly; the bottom hearth lowers for safe unloading.

FAQ

1.What materials can a vertical vacuum annealing furnace process?

It processes tool steel, die steel, high-carbon steel wire, stainless steel, and non-ferrous alloys - mainly for spheroidizing and softening annealing of wire drawing dies and fastener wire rods.

2. What is the difference between vacuum annealing and atmosphere annealing?

Vacuum annealing uses pre-evacuation plus nitrogen back-fill, eliminating surface oxidation and decarburization. Atmosphere annealing relies on protective gas only and may leave slight scale or decarburization.

3. Why use a bottom-loading vertical furnace instead of a horizontal one?

Vertical bottom-loading handles large, heavy coils and dies safely, saves floor space, and gives better temperature uniformity for tall loads.
